Moral CodeYou Shall Be Mine

As we continue to look into Leviticus and God’s covenant with the nation of Israel, we see some of the moral and behavioral requirements he gave to them. Having rescued them out of bondage in Egypt and taking them to a new “promised land”, called Canaan, God gives them the charge, “You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you.” (Leviticus 18:3) Today we will look at the ramifications of God’s moral law for us, the Church, who have been “rescued from the dominion of darkness and brought into the kingdom of the son he loves.” (Colossians 3:13)
