CFC is on a journey to make Committed Followers of Christ. We are a medium-sized church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, committed to biblically-based preaching and teaching, modern worship, living in authentic community, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
in 1992, a group of 40 adults met in the side room of Wayside Presbyterian Church in Landisville, PA to establish a vibrant community of believers with contemporary music, the latest technology, and culturally relevant messages to serve a generation that had become disillusioned and indifferent to traditional church. Led by founding Pastor, David Humphreville, Community Fellowship Church held its first service in a former ski shop on Dairy Road in Lancaster on Easter Sunday with a mission to reach seekers, build believers, and impact the world.
We are in a three-year initiative called equip. Our vision is to equip believers with the tools, skills, and heart to Know God, Be Known by God, and to Make God Known. Our future focus is moving beyond our gathering place, into our communities, and around the world.
After growing up overseas and serving as a missionary in Austria, God has developed in Bobby a love and passion for teaching and sharing the Word of God. It is exciting to see God at work globally and how Scripture changes lives. In 2007, he and his wife, Jen, along with their 3 children joined CFC, and soon after the Lord led him into the position of Lead Pastor.CONTACT >
Jason partners with the lead pastor and elder board to generate vision, while facilitating the administration board and supervising the staff and volunteer ministry coordinators. With 14 years of youth ministry experience split between Young Life and CFC, Jason and his family served as missionaries in Ethiopia for three years before returning to Lancaster in 2014. Jason is married to his childhood sweetheart, Emily and together they have three young daughters.CONTACT >
Ruth's journey at CFC began 21 years ago when she and her husband, Bryan, sought to find a new church for their family. They visited CFC the last day of services at the ski shop and followed the journey from the Primary Center in Landisville to Bethel Drive. After over 35 years in the "corporate world" God lead Ruth to her current staff position a little over 15 years ago. The position has grown from an office job to a true ministry! Ruth and Bryan have 2 children who are both married.CONTACT >
As the leader of the community groups ministry at CFC, Patrick has the opportunity to live out his passion in life by developing and encouraging leaders and connecting people into a fellowship that nourishes and challenges at the same time. This kind of fellowship allows us to share each others burdens and truly explore what it means to follow Christ. He and his wife, Lori, live in Lancaster and have been part of the CFC family for almost five years.CONTACT >
After moving back to Lancaster with her family in 2020, Lauren began volunteering in CFC’s worship ministry as a vocalist/pianist. With a degree in music education, 15+ years in ministry, and experience creating and managing her own interior design company, she now serves as Worship Arts Director for CFC. Lauren is passionate about intentionally creating the space for people to meet with the Lord, and about stewarding the talents and passions of her team so that they are all “living a life worthy of the calling they have received.” She is thrilled to be leading the Worship Arts ministry, bringing the gospel through worship and the arts to edify the body of CFC. Lauren, her husband Jerry, and their three sons live in Manheim Township.CONTACT >
