I love anything that fits into the spy action movie genre. Every spy film has that same iconic passport scene. The hero is rifling through all those identities to find the best one to get them out of a jam. It's an exhilarating moment in these films and there’s something about having identity options that sparks our imagination. When life gets too complicated wouldn’t it be great to pick a new passport? The churches in Galatia understood that kind of complicated. Christianity had become a multiethnic hodge-podge movement and nobody knew exactly what rules to keep and which ones to throw away. They needed a fresh perspective on their identity. Paul makes it clear that the death and resurrection of Jesus have changed everything.
