Advent | JoyAdvent 2020

Jesus was the essence of joy, and yet a “man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.” (Isaiah 53:3). Biblical Joy (Greek, chara) is a gift from God as a result of our oneness with Him, the “fruit of the Spirit” (Gal. 5:22). It is to be differentiated from our mood. It is greater and deeper and able to cover the expanse of sorrow and gladness.
