“Daughters of the King of the universe, you have a crucial role to play. Serve Him with all you are. Excel at being loyal, productive, and in mentoring others. Flee from the bondage of shame and anxiety.”
Do these challenges from this past weekend’s sermon continue to ring in your ear? I know my heart continues to ponder them. If you were not able to listen to or hear the message on Biblical Womanhood this past weekend, I encourage you to do so HERE. I believe you will find it helpful whatever stage of life you are in.
Women’s Ministry at CFC strives to help women become committed followers of Jesus Christ through the study of the Bible and in community. It is our goal to come alongside of you as you strive to play your crucial role in the Kingdom of God. We want to help you grow deeper in your walk with the Lord, identify your spiritual gifts, and have opportunities to serve and lead.
This fall we are offering an eight-week Bible Study, Draw Near, on Tuesday nights and Wednesday mornings. This study follows God’s plan for relationship beginning in the Old Testament through the New Testament, and landing in the book of Hebrews. Together we will discover the invitation that has no comparison, the invitation to draw near to God.
Later this fall we will begin a new Women’s Mentoring Ministry here at CFC. Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, prominent Christian radio host and author, explains mentoring as “older women modeling holiness, obedience, and love and investing intentionally in the lives of younger women. Younger women seeking and receiving, with humility and gratitude, the blessings given to them from seasoned women, only to pass the treasure on to others down the line.” We are currently accepting applications from ladies who would like to consider being a mentor. You can find a brief description of the commitment in the mentor application on our Women’s Ministry page. If you are interested in being mentored, please stay tuned! Further details of what these mentor relationships will look like are coming soon, as well as opportunities to register. Do not fear the Bible study and the Mentoring Ministry are designed so that you can be involved in both if you desire.
Ladies, exciting opportunities for women are coming to CFC! We hope that both the Draw Near Bible Study and the CFC Women’s Mentoring Ministry will be tools in the Lord’s hands to help you play your crucial role in the Kingdom of God.MENTOR APPLICATION
