I was brought to tears recently after hearing somebody’s story on the phone of the evil that had been done to them, and the question to follow: “If God loves me, then why did He allow this to happen to me?” The only thing I could do was recount the story of what was done to Christ. It was pure evil that put Jesus on the cross, but it was His love that kept Him there. In other words, the price He willingly paid for our sin reveals how much we are worth to Him. Today’s message recounts the impact of the cross.
