Shining in Babylon | Daniel 7

7/16/22

Jen and I returned this week from our daughter, Shelby’s, wedding. A wedding takes on an identity of its own. You can’t control it. There are too many variables. It’s hard to budget. Like a ‘beast’ it…[I digress ]. But seeing my daughter in her wedding gown, made it all worth it. Tears of joy; memories of all the years spent investing and hoping and praying for her.
Daniel 7 reminds me that current events cannot be controlled. World empires will come and go, but in the end the Bride of Christ will be united with her lover, and dominion will be returned to its rightful owner. The wedding is coming, and we have been assured that God will fulfill His purposes and bring us to a beautiful end. That helps me now!
