Today, as in the days of the early church, we are in an ideological war. The Person and work of Christ are under attack. Is Christ enough for all things?
How could Paul be writing from a prison cell, full of hope and encouragement for others? The letter to the Colossians is filled with examples of the supremacy of Christ over all things, including hopelessness. Christ so much affected Paul that He was able to live a vibrant and fruitful life for God despite setbacks and disappointments.
