After the hard-hearted rejection of God, He still speaks to Israel and reminds them of their bright future. In our passage we find out that grace lets us begin again. It is the wide-ranging, pardoning, supportive favor of God despite our failures. The ultimate statement in v. 41 is “I am the LORD your God…”. He is for us. He is with us, despite our failures.
