2026 CFC Women’s Retreat

Join us for a spring women’s retreat to take a breather from your normal routine. Foster a deeper relationship with God and with other women as we enjoy teaching from God’s Word, rest from our to-do lists, and have fun together!
This year, we will return to Camp Sankanac. We’ll have an entire section of the camp at the Traber Center and a centralized meeting space to ourselves where we can dig into God’s Word, spend time in prayer, and enjoy the spring weather as a group. The retreat grounds also have a stream nearby, hiking trails, a disc golf course, and other amenities to enjoy in your free time.
If you grew up singing hymns in church, you might recognize the first line of this famous song that goes by the same name. It is, indeed, sweet when we put our trust in Jesus. This hymn also includes the chorus line, “Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er!” When we focus on Jesus’ faithfulness to us; His trustworthiness in our lives, believing in Him for the future can also become easier.
But trusting in the midst of our current struggles and everyday moments can be more difficult — especially when we lose sight of what He’s already done. Join us as we dig into Biblical accounts that remind and encourage us why Jesus is trustworthy, as well as looking at practical ways to strengthen our trust in Him when we feel uncertain, scared or confused by circumstances in life. Participate in our small group discussions as we recount the sweetness of those times when we have put our trust in the Lord, and seen Him show up in big, wonderful ways. Spend time practicing the discipline of prayer as we seek the Lord, both together and individually. We hope our time together will encourage all of us that the same God who was trustworthy yesterday is trustworthy for today and tomorrow, too!

We are thrilled to have Jennie Harclerode and Diane Moore co-teach our sessions at the retreat this spring! Jennie is currently a teacher in the women’s Bible studies at CFC and the Step Forward liaison for the women’s ministry. Diane’s passion for growing her own prayer life — and the prayer disciplines of others — are sure to be a blessing to our group. We will also have times of singing in our worship times together, graciously led by Lauren Becker.
Jennie is a speaker, teacher, and author of “Patiently Endure.” Married to John for 14 years and mom to Aralyn (12) and Truman (3), Jennie’s passion is encouraging women through interacting with God’s Word. She believes the Word of God to truly be living and active and having the power to transform lives. Jennie believes it is very much possible to live with joy by the power of the Holy Spirit even when life’s circumstances seem anything but lovely. On any given day you will find Jennie in a coffee shop with friends, playing board games with her family, or dreaming and planning how to get another stamp in her passport.
Diane is probably most recognized at CFC as being that keyboard player who bounces around a lot. When not tickling the ivories (or plastics more so these days), she’s spent a career as a communications strategist… mostly for politicians. But she firmly believes the most important communication to focus on is listening for the Lord’s voice and becoming more comfortable and intent in speaking to Him in prayer. Diane thinks McDonald’s iced coffee is actually high quality, has killed an alarming number of houseplants, and loves to talk about side hustles and YouTube.
Lauren has been the worship director at CFC since 2022 and is married to her husband, Jerry. They live with a wild hurricane affectionately known as “The 3 Becker Boys,” who range in age from 11 to 15. Lauren’s hobbies are music, interior decorating, cooking, and getting dressed every day! She would love to talk about shoes but instead spends most of her time trying to keep up with her household of men while they are at soccer fields, playing kickball, swimming, or any other sport involving a ball or movement of some kind. She’s grateful for her family’s grace regarding her lack of athleticism, and also for the Lord’s grace in her life. Lauren’s love of music is only surpassed by her love for Jesus, and she loves that she gets to spend all of her days combining the two.
