Ecclesiastes 7:15-8:1
This is one of the most fascinating passages in Ecclesiastes. Solomon says, “Do not be over-righteous…why destroy yourself?” (v.16a), and “Do not be over-wicked…why die before your time?” (v.17a). What does he mean here? The law says, “Be holy, as I am holy.” (Leviticus 11:45 & 1 Peter 1:16). Let’s take a closer look this weekend.
