Be Faithful
The vibe in our passage is a bit like ‘passing the baton’. Paul (facing execution) is challenging Timothy to “follow the pattern of sound words”. What was the pattern? How did we get the ‘sound’ or trustworthy words of the Bible? If someone said to you, “How do we know you can trust the Bible?” What would you say? Following the pattern includes life on life disciple- making. What does that look like?
