Encountering the Holy Spirit

Join us this Fall for a refreshing retreat centered on encountering the Holy Spirit through God’s Word. Together, we’ll explore Scripture in meaningful ways through engaging discussions, practical application, and opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. Along with plenty of fun, fellowship, and time to connect with one another, our prayer is that each person will experience God’s presence in a fresh and powerful way, leaving encouraged, renewed, and equipped to walk more closely with Him. We will gather at Gretna Glen starting at 6pm on Friday, October 16th and wrap up before lunch on Sunday, October 18th.

Getting away for a weekend can be hard, but it’s worth it. Come ready to reset, grow, and make space for what God wants to do in your life.

Who: All men/young men over the age of 16 are welcome to attend the retreat.
What: A partial weekend away from worldly distractions so you can work on your relationship with God.
Where: Gretna Glen Camp and Retreat Center. Far enough away to disconnect, not so far away that you can’t run home if needed.
Why: We all need time to work on our relationship with God and on ourselves. This brief getaway will refine you and return you as a better man.
How much: The full price is $190, for those who are able to afford it. There is a basic rate of $160 (the church pays the remaining $30). If you need a further reduced rate or a full scholarship, those options are available. Please contact Dave Towers.

Do I need to bring anything?

The most important thing is to bring your Bible and a willing spirit! You will need a sleeping bag or sheets/blanket and a pillow to stay overnight in the climate controlled cottages. There is no need for money as all meals and snacks are provided by your registration fee. The temperature can vary greatly at this time of year so watch the weather to determine what type of clothing to pack. Toiletries for showering are recommended.

What happens during the time at Gretna Glen?

You will engage in large and small group sessions designed to challenge you while deepening your relationship with the Lord. There is also built in time for solitude. The time for solitude is always a highly meaningful time for attendees. In addition, there is free time for games, socializing or simply relaxing.

I can only come for part of the weekend. Does that mean I cannot come?

While we believe that attending for the full weekend provides the greatest benefit, we absolutely understand that there may be situations where a man may have to return home for a short period of time or for a larger portion of the weekend. That is perfectly fine. We believe some time with God is better than no time with God!
