Peace vs Anxiety

According to the American Psychological Association, “Anxiety is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes like increased blood pressure.” Notice that it begins with thoughts and feelings and can ultimately lead to physical problems. In our study, Judah was at an all-time high in terms of anxiety. The brutal empire of Assyria was at the gates, threatening to torture and destroy them. Isaiah 9:4-5 speaks of God breaking the “rod of the oppressor.” The implications of this statement are far-reaching, especially in light of what comes next in Isaiah 9:6: “…and His name shall be called…Prince of Peace…”

Listen as we unpack the implications of Jesus being our Prince of Peace. What should we expect? How does He address the anxiety we feel? And what can be done?
