Impact The World

Home Ministries Impact The World Overview
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Ethiopia is among the world's oldest Christian nations, and the only African state to never be colonized. Addis Ababa is the official diplomatic capital of Africa with more than 90 embassies, making it the 4th largest diplomatic center in the world. This is a prime location for impacting young lives for Jesus Christ.

Our partner, Young Life, is active in over 50 countries and has been in Ethiopia since 1998. Young Life staff and volunteers bring the good news of Jesus Christ into the lives of adolescents with an approach that is respectful of who kids are and hopeful about who they can be. Since 2006 we have bringing annual work crew teams to serve the Ethiopian leadership in their summer camping ministry. If you would like to be involved in future missions to Addis Ababa please contact Jason Craig.
Love 146

Titus International
Rather than send more US missionaries overseas, the mission of Titus International is to train nationals to reach their world for Christ. This is being accomplished by Titus missionaries (American and national), in the USA and on foreign fields.

Water Street Ministries, Lancaster, PA
CFC's partnership with the Water Street Mission is growing on many levels:

Corporate Encounter: We continue to plan for joint CFC/WS Mission events, whether downtown or on Bethel Drive. These big-group encounters offer us the chance to experience outreach together. Newcomers to CFC can visit the Mission, perhaps for the first time, and serve with other folks from CFC. If you'd like to get involved in planning and manning the next all-CFC event, the Discovery Kiosk Host will help you connect with Daral Boles.

Small Group Serving: There are many opportunities for community groups to serve together at Water Street, whether it's literally serving (a meal), wrapping Christmas gifts for residents, or painting a resident hallway. For more information, see the WS Mission contact information below.

Individual Volunteer Opportunities: Just to highlight a few of the many ways to serve on your own, with a friend, or with your family...
  • Mentoring: This year-long program pairs residents with individuals from the community who provide much-needed encouragement, support, and spiritual guidance to mentorees during their stay in the Mission and beyond.

  • Teen Haven/Wonder Club: There are many opportunities to serve in these community-based programs, from practicing English as a Second Language with 3 to 5-year-olds in Wonder Club to helping in Teen Haven's after-school and evening programs.

  • Tutoring in the Learning Center: Volunteers help residents work towards their GED or acquire other skills that prepare them for employment.

  • The Lydia Center offers a 12-18 month addiction recovery program designed to heal women in crisis situations. The Center provides an emotionally and spiritually safe environment where women can discard their protective mechanisms, like anger or avoidance, to truly experience God's love and healing power in their hearts. Learn more on their website.

  • Administrative help: Help behind the scenes with data processing and clerical assistance.
